Fall 2013 (Junior Season): Timko played in five tournaments for the Buckeyes ... season-best finish came at Rod Myers Invitational where he placed fourth and tallied a season-low 210 (76-65-69) with a career-low score of 65in the second round ... took 11th at the Windon Memorial with a 215 (73-73-69) ... finished 27th at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational with a 224 (75-75-74) ... also competed at the Northern intercollegiate and Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.

2012-13 (Sophomore Season): Notched a team-best 72.96 stroke average, playing in 12 tournaments ... 30 of 32 rounds counted toward team score ... led the team with three finishes in the top 5 and totaled seven in the top 20 ... finished first among the team in four tournaments ... had three finishes under par on the year ... team-high 10 rounds under par with five in the 60s ... career-best at Northwestern Spring Invitational (April 15-16), carding a season-low 208 after rounds of 71-70-67 to take second overall ... picked up a fourth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships (April 26-28) with a 3-over 291 for his best finish at the conference tournament ... finished fifth at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate (Sept. 15-16) with a 211 following rounds of 69-66-76 ... his 18-hole score of 66 was a career-low ... finished tied for eighth at the Marshall Invitational (Sept. 10-11) with a 211 (69-71-71) ... tied for 10th at shortened Seahawk Intercollegiate (75-76--151).

2011-12 (Freshman Season): Started off his Buckeye career by competing in all five fall tournaments for Ohio State, compiling a stroke average of 74.4 over 13 rounds ... finishing T-7th in his first college event at the Marshall Invitational (Sept. 12-13) ... fired rounds of 71-68-68--207 and helped the Buckeyes to their second-consecutive team victory at the event ... continued his strong play with a T-25th finish at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational with a total of 220 ... also finished T-12th at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational with rounds of 72-72-75--219 ... saw action in all seven events during the spring season... finished T-20th at the FAU Spring Break Championship with a total of 216... at the Wildcat Invitational he finished T-6th with a three-round total of 225... in his first Big Ten Championship, he finished T-35th with a 72-hole total of 310 ... finished the season by placing T-38th at the NCAA Central Regional in Ann Arbor, shooting 76-74-70--220 ... completed his first year as a Buckeye with a 74.69 stroke average.

Prior to Ohio State: Attended Canfield High School after two years at Warren JFK High School ...named team MVP, all-league and all-district all four seasons ... served as team captain for the past three years ... earned All-Ohio honors as a junior and senior after leading Canfield to back-to-back All American Conference titles ... qualified for the state tournament all four seasons ... recognized as the Youngstown Vindicator's Golf Performer of the Year three consecutive years ... set the Steel Valley all-time record for nine-hole average at 34.0 in conference matches ... holds two nine-hole course records with a 32 at Copeland Hills and Kensington Golf Clubs ... won the Callaway PGA Junior Series event on Purdue's Kampen Course as well as the Hudson Invitational in summer play.

Personal: Son of Bruce and Denise Timko ... has two siblings, Brooke and Brianna ... would like to make a living playing professional golf in the future ... also played basketball for four seasons at Canfield ... greatest sports thrill was starting as point guard when the team won the district tournament in basketball ... enjoys playing basketball and ping-pong as well as camping away from the golf course ... father Bruce is a member of the Youngstown State Athletics Hall of Fame after playing basketball for the Penguins ... cousin of John Simon, a defensive lineman on the Ohio State football team.
