2013-14 (Sophomore Season): Competed in five events, averaging 75.64 strokes in 14 rounds played ... contributed to the team score in 6.5 of nine rounds as a member of the lineup ... notched a top-25 finish at the season-opening Northern Intercollegiate (Sept. 6-8) as the team's second-best performer ... wrapped up his T-24th effort at the Northern Intercollegiate by dipping under par in the final round (77-75-71--223, +7) ... earned Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete recognition.
2012-13 (Freshman Season): Started his Buckeye career with a T-35th finish at the Marshall Invitational (Sept. 10-11) with a 219 (75-72-72) ... led the squad with a 3-1-0 record at the Big Ten Match Play Championship (Feb. 8-9) ... was the top Buckeye at the Seminole Intercollegiate (March 15-17), tying for 13th with a season-low 214 (70-73-71) ... came in tied for 17th at the Big Ten Championships, totaling a 300 (76-73-73-78) in his first postseason tournament ... compiled a 74.93 stroke average over 11 tournaments played ... 23 of 30 rounds counted toward team score ... an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State: Ranked 14th in the class of 2012 Golfweek/Sagarin ratings released 9/23/11... earned five top 10 finishes at AJGA events, including two runner-up finishes... made history in 2010 when, at age 16, he became the youngest medalist in the 104-year history of the Ohio Amateur Championship... was also the youngest player to win the Miami Valley Metropolitan Championship at age 15 and the Men's Springfield City Amateur at age 14... was named to the 2010 HP Scholastic Junior All-America team... medalist at the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier... the 2011 PGA Junior Player of the Year after notching medalist honors at two PGA Junior Series tournaments... set course records at four high school tournaments, highlighted by a 9-under 63 performance ... posted the lowest stroke-average in his conference all four years... was named the Miami Valley Golf Association Player of the year in 2009 and 2010... holds every golf record at Wayne High School.
