COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State football program placed 19 of its student-athletes on the Academic All-Big Ten Conference football team this fall. A total of 73 Ohio State student-athletes from the fall sports season made the all-academic team for having an overall grade point average of at least a 3.00.
Four Buckeyes - offensive linemen Darryl Baldwin and Ivon Blackman, safety Ron Tanner and long snapper Bryce Haynes - are Academic All-Big Ten for the second time.
Two starters - viper/defensive end Noah Spence and right tackle Taylor Decker - were among the 15 other Buckeyes named to the team for the first time.

For Ohio State, the football team led all sports with 19 honorees while women's cross country was second with 14 selections and 12 women's soccer student-athletes were honored. The field hockey team placed 10 on the list, with nine men's soccer players lauded, followed by men's cross country (5) and women's volleyball (4).
