COLUMBUS, Ohio - Sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller, the only quarterback in the nation who is 12-0 as a starter this year, was named today the Big Ten Conference's Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year. This major award comes one day after Miller was named the Big Ten's recipient of the Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year award.

"I'm grateful for this moment and this honor," Miller said. "And I am very thankful for the coaches we have and for their working so hard with us."

A Heisman Trophy candidate and one of three finalists for the Davey O'Brien national quarterback award, Miller led the Buckeyes to the sixth undefeated and untied season in school history with a school-record 3,310 yards of total offense and 27 touchdowns responsible for. He also set a school record for quarterbacks with 1,271 yards rushing.

"Winning this award is quite an achievement for this young man because he can still get better," Coach Urban Meyer said. "I am happy for him and very proud. This is a terrific honor for a Buckeye to receive."

Miller, a Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award finalist and one of the Walter Camp Award's 15 "players to watch," was second in the Big Ten in total offense at 275.8 yards per game - topping 300 yards of total offense five times, tying the school record. He threw for 2,039 yards and 15 TDs while completing nearly 60 percent (148-254) of his passes.

Miller led the Buckeyes in rushing, scored 13 touchdowns and recorded six 100-yard rushing games, including a school quarterback record 186 in the win over Nebraska. He had 14 runs of over 20 yards this season, including sprints of 72, 67, 65, 55, 42, 37, 27, 33, 33 and 31 yards. In the process, Miller became just the third different QB in Big Ten history to rush for at least 1,000 yards in a season.
