COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Ohio State Buckeyes have been selected to various Midseason All-American football teams this week:
• Graduated center Billy Price was named to the Associated Press midseason All-America team;
• Junior cornerback Denzel Ward was named to the CBS Sports first-team and to the Associated Press second midseason All-America team; and
• Sophomore defensive end Nick Bosa was named to the first teams as chosen by The All-American and The Sporting News, and to Sports Illustrated’s second team.
Price is the leader of an offensive line that is powering the Buckeyes to national rankings of No. 2 in total offense, No. 11 in passing offense and No. 17 in rushing. The two-time team captain has started 48 consecutive games for the Buckeyes.
Ward ranks 10th in the nation with 10 total passes defensed (nine pass break-ups and one interception), a total that is tied for first in the Big Ten Conference.
Bosa leads the Big Ten with 10 tackles-for-loss and is sixth with 3.5 quarterback sacks. He is 23rd nationally in TTLs despite averaging just 34 plays per game.
