COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State junior receiver/return specialist Parris Campbell has been named to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, now in its eighth season and presented annually by the Louisville Sports Commission to the most versatile player in college football.
Campbell is a fourth-year junior from Akron, Ohio, and is a veteran of 21 games and 12 starting assignments. A sociology major, Campbell caught 13 passes last year for 121 yards and he led the Big Ten Conference - and ranked 11th nationally - in kickoff returns with a 27.8 yards-per-return average. His 584 kickoff return yards in 2016 rank third all-time at Ohio State for a single season.
Campbell, named third-team all-Big Ten as a return specialist last season, is majoring in sociology.
