2014 NFL Draft: Rams select Christian Bryant

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State senior captain Christian Bryant, who missed the last nine games of the 2013 season with an ankle injury, became the sixth Ohio State Buckeye to be drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft when the St. Louis Rams selected him with the 241st pick of the seventh round.
Bryant was a three-year starting safety who played in 36 games and started 27 times before injuring his ankle at the end of the Buckeyes' fifth-game of the season, vs. Wisconsin. At the time of his injury, Bryant had recorded 22 tackles to rank third on the team.
Ohio State has now had three offensive and three defensive players taken in this draft.

Bryant recorded 171 tackles in his Ohio State career with two interceptions, 23 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. At the time of his injury, his 171 tackles and 23 pass break-ups were second-most among the current Buckeyes.
Bryant is the 12th Ohio State defensive back chosen in the NFL Draft in the last 10 years.
