HEAD COACH Urban Meyer
With the 5-0 start, Meyer becomes the third first-year Ohio State coach to start their career 5-0. Only two other first-year coaches have started a season 5-0: Carol Widdoes went 9-0 in 1944 and eventually won his first 12 games; and Earle Bruce opened 11-0 in 1979.

SERIES NOTES
Saturday marked the 41st meeting between Ohio State and Michigan State. Ohio State leads the all-time series, 28-13.
Ohio State has won eight of the last nine meetings overall and seven of the last eight at Spartan Stadium.
Ohio State is 14-5 all-time against the Spartans in East Lansing.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
Braxton Miller finished with 136 yards rushing on 23 carries. He passed for 179 yards, completing 16 of 23 passes with one INT.
Miller has three games this season with 100 or more yards rushing and six for his career.
Corey "Philly" Brown caught a career-high 12 passes for 84 yards. It marks the first 10-reception game for a Buckeye since Ted Ginn, Jr. caught 10 in 2006 vs. Bowling Green. The Ohio State record for receptions in a game is 14 by David Boston in 1997. The 12 receptions tied for fourth all-time for receptions in a game at Ohio State.
Ohio State scored on its opening drive for the second time this season, going 75 yards in eight plays on the opening drive of the game.
Jordan Hall scored his first TD of the season on a 1-yard plunge to open the game.
Ohio State has scored 15- consecutive times in the red zone.
The Buckeyes finished with 204 rushing yards on 44 carries. Ohio State had 383 yards in total offense.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
The Ohio State defense held MSU's Le'Veon Bell, the nation's third-leading rusher with 152.5 yards per game, to a season-low 45 yards on 17 carries. He had just 24 yards on eight carries in the first half.
The Ohio State defense did not allow Michigan State to gain a first down rushing. The Buckeyes had 14 rushing first downs to finish with 21. MSU had 17 total, three by penalty.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Bradley Roby blocked his first career punt late in the second quarter. The last time Ohio State blocked a punt was Ryan Shazier last season in the win over Wisconsin.
