Ohio State Overview: Bell played three seasons for the Buckeyes and totaled 42 games played and 28 starts. He was named a first-team All-American this past season by the Associated Press, The Sporting News and SI.com after recording 65 tackles and leading the team with nine passes defended. Bell, first-team all-Big Ten in 2015, had 176 career tackles (third among his teammates) and a team-high 24 passes defended, including nine interceptions. A big-play maker, Bell had interceptions against No. 1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, vs. Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game and vs. Michigan in 2014, plus had touchdowns vs. Minnesota (INT) and Northern Illinois (fumble recovery) this past season.

2015 Season (Junior): Associated Press, Sporting News and SI.com First Team All-American ... First Team All-Big Ten (media) ... 2014 Season (Sophomore): Bell started 14 games at one of the safety positions for the College Football Playoff national champion Buckeyes and was named honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference ... he was second on the team in tackles with 92, an impressive total that represents a 12-year high for an Ohio State safety, or since Mike Doss had 107 for the 2002 national champion Buckeyes ... Doss also had 94 tackles in 2000 and, to this date, he remains the only Ohio State safety this century to record more tackles in a single season than Bell's 92 in 2014 ... only eight players nationally topped Bell's 13-year Ohio State best six interceptions (Derek Ross had seven in 2001) ... Bell ranked third in the Big Ten with .40 interceptions per game and he also ranked 11th in the Big Ten with 12 passes defensed (six interceptions and pass break-ups, respectively) ... 2013 Season (Freshman): Bell was on the Ohio State two-deep chart throughout the 2013 season as a true freshman back-up at the nickel position ... his season-long hard work and efforts paid off when he was awarded with the start at nickel in the Discover Orange Bowl vs. Clemson ... he made one of the plays of the game vs. the Tigers, tipping and then intercepting a Taj Boyd pass at the Ohio State 1 in the second quarter of a game Clemson led at the time, 14-9 ...
