Overview: Tyler Durbin is in his second season with the football program after initially walking on to the team in the spring of 2015 … this is only his second season of competitive football, but he is an athlete … he played soccer for two seasons at James Madison University after a stellar high school and club soccer career that included all metro, all-district and all-region honors … played for club team Annandale United … scored first collegiate goal for JMU in 2013 vs. Binghamton … was an honors graduate from Lake Braddock with better than a 4.0 grade point average … is majoring in civil engineering at Ohio State … the son of Sandy and Martin Durbin, and has two siblings: older sister Emily and a younger brother, Stephen...also has a wife!...Tyler and Kristin Reitzel, from Dayton, Ohio, a North Park University graduate and now kindergarten teacher, were married July 23.

2016 Season (Senior): OSU Scholar Athlete…named to the Academic All-Big Ten Conference Team and National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame’s (NFF) 2017 Hampshire Honor Society…Ray Guy award semifinalist ... third team All-Big Ten by the coaches and the media ... led the Big Ten in scoring and kick scoring ... career-high three FGs in the road win at Wisconsin, including a game-tying 31-yarder with under 4 mins left to help send the game to overtime ... hit two more FGs from 33 and 30 yards at Penn State, two in the win over No. 10 Nebraska and two more in the road win at Maryland ... connected on all 11 extra point attempts in the win over Bowling Green, a school record ... named special teams player of the game by the team ... 2016 Academic All-District 5.
