2014 Season (Junior): Schutt played in all 15 games along the defensive line for the College Football Playoff national champions and totaled 210 plays ... he had 24 plays in the season-opener vs. Navy and a high of 28 plays vs. his home state school, Illinois ... also had two tackles vs. the Illini and recorded tackles in eight games, including the national title game vs. Oregon.
2013 Season (Sophomore): Schutt is coming off a 2013 campaign that didn't get cranked up until mid-season as a foot injury and subsequent surgery in fall camp kept him out of the team's first six games ... he played in seven of the final eight games of the season, including a start vs. Illinois ... he was in on a career-high 39 plays vs. Illinois and 25 the next week vs. Indiana ... was credited with three tackles, including a half-sack vs. Northwestern for minus-2 yards.
