Ohio State Overview: Perry played in 52 games, started 39 times at linebacker for the Buckeyes and was voted a team co-captain as a senior. He finished his career ranking 16th all-time at Ohio State with 298 tackles, including a team-leading 124 (second-most in the Big Ten) during the 2014 national championship season and 105 (second on the team) in 2015. He was named an all-Big Ten first-team linebacker by the league's coaches as a senior and honorable mention All-American by SI.com. His play on the field coupled with his deeds off the field earned Perry the honor of being a Lott IMPACT Trophy finalist, selection - one of only 11 from the FBS - to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. He was also on the watch list for the Butkus and Bednarik awards. Graduated in December with his degree in consumer and family financial services.

2015 Season (Senior): First team All-Big Ten by the coaches and second team by the media ... Lott IMPACT award finalist ... started all 13 games at linebacker ... second on the team with 105 tackles, including 53 solo ... part of a defensive unit that ranked No. 2 in the FBS in fewest points allowed (15.1) and No. 9 in total defense (311.3) ... recorded five double-digit tackle games, including a season-high 15 vs. Michigan State ... recorded 7.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 4 PBUs and 4 QBHs on the year ... game-high 10 tackles, 1 PBU and 0.5 TFL in the win at Michigan ... missed most of the Penn State game with an ankle injury sustained in the first quarter ... 9 tackles at Illinois ... 10 tackles, 1.0 TFL, 1 PBU and 1 QBH vs. Minnesota ... had 13 tackles, 2.0 TFL and 1.0 sack in the win over Western Michigan ... 7 tackles and 1.0 sack vs. Maryland ... led the team with four solo tackles and had 8 total in the win at Virginia Tech ... also had a team-high seven tackles vs. Hawai'i, including 1.0 sack ... 10 tackles, 1 QBH and PBU in the win over NIU ... 2014 Season (Junior): Perry played in all 15 games with 14 starts ... led the Buckeyes in tackles with 124, a total that ranked second in the Big Ten and 19th nationally ... was named second-team all-Big Ten ... 73 solo tackles are topped by just one Buckeye - Ryan Shazier with 101 in 2013 - in the last 12 years ... led the team in tackles in seven of the team's 15 games with three double-figure tackling games led by a marvelous and career-best 18-tackle game in the double-overtime win at Penn State ... had a personal-best 12 solo stops vs. the Nittany Lions ... recorded 14 stops vs. Indiana and 11 vs. Virginia Tech ... made a career-best three tackles-for-loss vs. Indiana for minus-10 yards and had two TFLs vs. both Virginia Tech (-11 yards) and Penn State (-7 yards).

2013 Season (Sophomore): Perry played in 13 games as a true sophomore and started 10 times at the strong-side linebacker position ... he totaled 64 tackles to rank fourth on the team in total tackles ... also had two tackles-for-loss and two pass break-ups ... produced eight games with five or more tackles including a team-leading and career-high 10 vs. Clemson in the Discover Orange Bowl ... sacked Clemson's Taj Boyd in the end zone for a sack and a safety for one of his biggest plays of the year ... Perry also had nine tackles vs. Indiana and seven vs. both Wisconsin and Michigan ... had a solo tackle high of seven vs. Clemson with six solos vs. Indiana.

2012 Season (Freshman): Perry played and lettered as a true freshman in 2012 ... he played in 10 games for the undefeated Buckeyes, mostly on special teams, but he did see action on defense in four games, including a personal-high 32 plays vs. Nebraska ... he recorded five tackles on the season with three hits coming vs. the Cornhuskers ... Perry was one of six in the 2012 recruiting class to enroll in school in January 2012 and take part in spring drills.

More on Joshua: Perry was the first Ohio State commitment of the 2012 class (June 2010) … rated as the No. 9 outside linebacker prospect in the country by Scout.com and No. 11 nationally at the position by Rivals.com ... older brother, Wes, studied jazz and music education at Ohio State and younger brother, Jahred, is a sophomore at Ohio State ... befriended a young cancer patient from Florida - Joshua Chambers - and participated in numerous activities and events to 1) raise the little guy's spirits before a surgery or hospital visit and to 2) help raise awareness for the plight of pediatric cancer patients ... spent one week in Costa Rica during the school's May academic semester, distributing shoes to those in need as part of the "Soles 4 Souls" initiative.
