Anthony Jordan serves as a graduate assistant coach for the Buckeye defensive staff. He joined the Ohio State program in March, 2010.
Jordan came to Ohio State from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa., where he spent two seasons as special teams coordinator and linebacker coach. In 2008, the Griffins' punt return unit ranked first in NCAA Division II with an 18.3 yards-per-return average. In 2006, he served as defensive graduate assistant at Toledo, his alma mater.
Jordan was a four-year starter on defense for the Toledo Rockets, leading the team in tackles as a sophomore (138) and senior (107). An all-Mid-American Conference linebacker, he played in two MAC championship games and three bowl games (2 Motor City and 1 GMAC) during his career. He was named team captain as a junior and senior, and received the 2005 Nicholson Award as the Rockets' most valuable player. Jordan received his bachelor's degree in business administration/human resource management from Toledo in 2006.
A native of Whitehall, Ohio, where he was a three-sport letterman at Whitehall Yearling High, Jordan earned second team all-state and all-district honors for the Rams. He is engaged to Monica Reiser, a Youngstown native and Toledo graduate.
