Ohio State Overview: Jeff Heuerman is not only an outstanding football player, he is an outstanding athlete ... his vertical leap of 36.5 inches is the second-highest on the team ... he can bench press 225 pounds a team-leading 33 times ... on the gridiron, Heuerman is coming into his own as a blocking, receiving and route running force at the tight end position for the Buckeyes ... this true junior has played in 23 games over the past two seasons and he started nine times last season, including in each of the Buckeyes final seven games ... he has nine career receptions for 119 yards and one score ... his first collegiate touchdown came against Nebraska last year, an 18-yard reception from Braxton Miller to give the Buckeyes a 21-17 lead in a game they would win, 63-38 ... also caught a career-long 35-yard pass against the Cornhuskers for the first multi-reception game of his career ...
