Ohio State Overview: Jalyn Holmes is like a starting defensive end just without the starts ... this true senior has played in 37 games the past three years and is coming off a season in which he played 400 snaps on defense plus an additional 35 plays on special teams ... he ranks third among current Buckeyes with 11.0 career tackles for loss ... he also has 55 career tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pass break-up ... he is majoring in family resource management.
Notable: Holmes is a favorite of the media on the Ohio State football beat ... he isn't afraid to switch from interviewee to interviewer, as he did numerous times last season ... he's an engaging young man who has a personality every bit as large -- albeit humble -- as his frame.
