Career Overview: Adam Griffin spent three seasons with the Buckeyes - 2010, 2011 and 2012 - before a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery ended his career during his fourth season with the team, in the fall of 2013 ... he was a hard worker on and off the playing field and his effort resulted in increased playing time and a leadership role on the team ... he was a key member of multiple special teams as a third-year sophomore in 2012 when he played in all 12 games for the undefeated Buckeyes and recorded 13 tackles ... he made one of the outstanding special teams plays of the season in the third quarter against Penn State, reading a fake punt attempt and batting down a potential first-down pass on fourth-and-nine from the OSU 43 and the Buckeyes leading, 14-10 ... he had a career-high three tackles vs. Penn State, as well ...
