Ohio State Overview: Zach was a five-year member of the football program who lettered four times and earned his bachelor's degree in marketing in June, 2012 ... he a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree ... he played in 33 games over his playing career (2009-12) after initially red-shirting the 2008 campaign ... Zach played in eight games in 2012 and in 12 of 13 games in 2011, missing only the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl with a knee issue that required surgery following the season (and kept him out of the 2012 spring drills) ... he recorded 23 career tackles with 10 of those coming during the 2011 season, and personal-bests of three tackles made during the Colorado and Michigan games, respectively ... he had a penchant for making big plays: in 2011 he recovered a fumble in the win over Colorado; in 2010 he returned a block punt for a touchdown against Minnesota; and in 2009 he recovered a Minnesota fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half.
