2015 Season (Medical Redshirt): Smith played in four of the team’s first five games before suffering his leg injury against Indiana … had caught five passes for 62 yards up until that point … earned a medical red-shirt season after missing the final eight games.
2014 Season (Junior): Smith played in 14 games for the College Football Playoff national champions and earned his first Varsity O letter ... he had 20 receptions for 255 yards and a 12.8 yards per reception average ... caught a personal-best (as a Buckeye) four passes for 44 yards in the win over Maryland ... had his long catch of the season -- 47 yards -- in the national title game win over Oregon, part of a two-catch, 76-yard receiving game ... had at least one reception in 11 of his 14 games, including three catches for 28 yards in the win over Michigan and two catches for 30 years in the Big Ten championship game win over Wisconsin.
