2013 Season (Sophomore): Farris was battling Taylor Decker for playing time at right tackle during fall camp but was ultimately moved to the defensive line late in camp when an injury to Tommy Schutt cut into the depth on defense ... Farris played in seven games and totaled 120 plays on defense and special teams ... he was credited with three tackles, including 1.5 tackles-for-losses totaling 11 yards ... he suffered an injured knee late in the season and had surgery prior to the Orange Bowl.
2012 Season (Freshman): Farris made the switch from the defensive line to the offensive line in the fall of 2012 and he played in seven games on special teams for the undefeated Buckeyes ... he played 18 snaps from scrimmage vs. Illinois, part of his 26 plays that game ... Farris red-shirted the 2011 season as a true freshman.
More on Chase: Farris was a first-team all-Ohio player as a senior for coach Steve Hamilton's Elyria H.S. team ... was also chosen as team, county, conference and district defensive lineman of year ... all-Lorain and all-northeast Ohio as well ... recorded 95 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 31 TFL as a senior ... defensive MVP of Offense-Defense Bowl ... Ohio North-South Classic and Big 33 Game ... also a basketball letterman ... MAC Scholar ... is the son of Dina Farris and Rodney Moore.
