Ohio State Overview: Cam Burrows is a talented defensive back who played cornerback as a true freshman in 2013 but will compete for playing time at safety in 2014 ... Burrows made the move to the safety position early in 2014 and practiced there throughout spring drills ... he played alongside another sophomore safety (Tyvis Powell) while a third sophomore safety - Vonn Bell - missed spring after having knee surgery ... Burrows is majoring in criminology.

2013 Season: Burrows played in 12 games for the Buckeyes and was credited with 11 tackles and two pass break-ups ... a special teams player throughout the year, he did line up on defense in eight games, including playing a career-best 52 plays on defense vs. Indiana ... he stepped in for an injured Doran Grant against the pass-happy Hoosiers and played well, recording two pass break-ups and five tackles, including four solo stops.

More on Cam: Burrows was Ohio State's first commitment to the 2013 class when he announced in January 2012 that he would be a Buckeye ... he was also among the first to arrive at Ohio State, as he was one of five Class of 2013 recruits to enroll in school in January ... a first-team Associated Press all-state selection as a junior and senior, Burrows helped lead Trotwood Madison to three consecutive Division II state championship games, including an unbeaten, 15-0 state-title winning season in 2011 ... had 14 pass break-ups as a senior for coach Maurice Douglass' 12-3 state finalist team and also had 39 tackles ... a consensus four-star cornerback (ESPN, Rivals, Scout, 247Sports) who was the No. 38 prospect nationally (Rivals), an ESPN 150 performer (No. 62) and the No. 2 senior in Ohio (ESPN) ... played in the 2013 Under Armour All-American game ... a two-time state track finalist in the sprint relays ... the first from his high school to sign with Ohio State since Will Allen (Class of 2000), who committed while at Trotwood Madison before transferring to Huber Heights Wayne for his senior year ... Burrows is the son of Dionne and Andre Burrows ... his brother, Chris, won multiple Pac 12 track and field championships as part of the sprint relay teams for Arizona State University.
