Ohio State Overview: Bryce Haynes is a fourth-year junior who has lettered twice as a long snapper, for the 2012 and 2013 seasons ... he enters the 2014 season having snapped 102 times on special teams and in 23 games ... he has shared responsibilities the past two seasons with the now-graduated George Makridis ... Haynes is a two-time academic All-Big Ten honoree and a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete who is majoring in biology ... he was also named a Big Ten Conference Distinguished Scholar for the 2012-13 academic year for maintaining a grade point average above 3.70 for the year.
2013 & 2012 Seasons: In 2013 as a sophomore, Haynes played in 13 games and made 55 snaps ... he played in 10 games and totaled 47 snaps during his freshman campaign of 2012 ... he also recorded three tackles on punts, including two solo stops ... Haynes red-shirted the 2011 season as a true freshman.
