  • Ohio State Overview: Corey Brown the receiver, from Upper Darby, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia, likes to be called by his name "Corey," but most everyone refers to him as "Philly" to distinguish him from the other Corey Brown on the team: Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown the defensive back from Monroeville, Pa. ... anyway, this Corey Brown won the Paul Warfield Award as the team's outstanding receiver in 2011 after tying for the team lead with 14 receptions for 205 yards and one touchdown ... he had games of three receptions for 61 yards vs. Nebraska, a career-high four (for-34 yards) vs. Wisconsin and he capped the season with two catches for a career-high 76 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown reception, vs. Michigan ... he started nine times in 2011, missing four other games with an ankle issue ... a veteran of 22 games and 10 starts, Corey tops all wide receivers on the team with 22 career receptions for 310 yards and two scores ... he scored a TD on a 15-yard reception in 2010 vs. Purdue ... he was the recipient of the team's Outstanding First-Year Offensive Player award in 2010.

More on Corey: A criminology major, Corey was an Under Armour All-American following his high school career at Cardinal O'Hara, located just outside of Philadelphia ... rushed for over 3,000 yards and had over 1,500 yards receiving and was twice an all-state selection ... also scored 50 touchdowns for coach Dan Algeo ... all-state in track, as well, and held county 200-meter dash record of 21.4 upon graduation ... is the son of Delene Williams.
