Buckeyes Conclude Bahamas Competition Schedule with 115-63 Win

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas - Sophomore Marc Loving led Ohio State with 19 points in a 115-63 win for the Buckeyes over the Providence Storm Friday at Kendal Isaacs Gym in the Bahamas.

The win concludes Ohio State's competition schedule on its six-day trip. Ohio State defeated the Bahamas All-Starts 88-66 Thursday.

Rookie Keita Bates-Diop contributed 18 points followed by 17 from senior Sam Thompson, 14 from freshman Jae'Sean Tate, 12 from senior Trey McDonald and 10 by redshirt freshman Kam Williams.

Tate led the Buckeyes with 10 rebounds, seven on the offensive end.

As a team, Ohio State shot 58 percent from the field (46-80) and 47 percent from 3-point range (7-15).

Senior Shannon Scott handed out eight assists to go with eight points. The Buckeyes assisted on 26 of 46 baskets.

Ohio State's rookies combined to make 17 of 33 shots from the field and contributed 48 points.


 

 

Ohio State will have an off day Saturday before returning to Columbus Sunday night.
