PARADISE iSLAND, Bahamas -- Senior Trey McDonald recorded a double-double with 10 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in Ohio State's 88-66 win Thursday against the Bahamas All-Stars at the Kendal G.L. Isaacs National Gymnasium in the Bahamas.
The Buckeyes are playing two games this week as part of a summer foreign tour.
The Buckeyes used their size advantage to outscore the All-Starts 36-16 in the paint.
As a team, Ohio State scored on 36 of 69 shots from the field (52 percent). Of the 36 made field goals, 22 were the result of an assist. Senior Shannon Scott lead with seven helpers followed by rookie D'Angelo Russell with five assists.
Thad Matta, head coach of the Buckeyes, used a variety of defenses throughout the game. Ohio State forced 16 turnovers and recorded 14 steals. Kam Williams and senior Amir Williams each had three thefts.
The freshman class combined to connect on 16 of 27 shots from the field for a total of 39 points.
