COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Thad Matta, head coach of the Buckeyes, announced the addition of Trevor Thompson to the Ohio State men's basketball roster, Friday.
Thompson is a 6-11 center from Indianapolis, Ind. He played his freshman season of collegiate basketball at Virginia Tech. He will sit out the 2014-15 season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility with the Buckeyes.
In March, Matta announced former Temple center Anthony Lee would join the Buckeyes for the 2014-15 season. (Story)
Thompson completed his high school career at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, Wis., before originally signing to play at Virginia Tech.
