AN OVERVIEW
Jared Sullinger took the college basketball world by storm as a freshman with his size, strength and efficiency in the paint. He is a menace down low and does not hesitate to throw his body around and be physical when playing inside, although he also boasts the skills and footwork of a player much smaller than he.

In addition to sound fundamentals imparted by his high school coach and father, the All-American forward boasts levels of patience and confidence that belie his youth. Sullinger is able to alter his game and work with a mid-range jumper as opposing defenses have adjusted their game plans.

A finalist for the Wooden and Naismith Player of the Year awards a year ago, Sullinger enters 2011-12 as an early favorite for both. He has slimmed down in the offseason, dropping 25 pounds since the end of last year, through a rigorous training regime.
