December is Baseball Camps/Clinics Month
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Space is available for any of three upcoming baseball camps/clinics the Ohio State baseball coaching staff, under the direction of head coach Greg Beals, will present in the month of December.
Coaches Clinic - Dec. 17-18
Beals and assistants Chris Holick and Mike Stafford, and volunteer assistant coach Josh Newman, will welcome New York Yankees hitting coach Kevin Long for this first-ever coaches clinic that will be held at the Fawcett Center (Friday symposium) and French Field House (Saturday drills and mechanics).
Hitting Symposium - Dec. 18 and Dec. 19
The Buckeye coaches and Yankees' hitting coach Kevin Long will offer individual hitting instruction and analysis, and a specialized strength program in these two-and-a-half hour sessions. Campers can enroll for blocks of time between 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19.
Holiday Youth Camp - Dec. 28-30
The Buckeye Baseball Holiday Youth Camp will provide advanced baseball skill instruction for kids ages 7-12 with a focus on the fundamentals of base running, outfield and infield play, and bunting. Campers will play games and will be instructed in live-game situations.
The staff will also present a specialty hitting clinic January 8. For ages 12-18, the clinic will run from 1-6 p.m. and is geared toward swing analysis and taking an aggressive approach at the plate.
