COLUMBUS, Ohio – College Baseball is all about having fun, but first, the Buckeyes must put in the work. Just two weeks out from Opening Day at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., assistant coach Chris Holick has been training the Buckeye defense through a series of drills before practice inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Holick, who is in his eighth season at Ohio State, brought the energy and took over the aux cord, putting on his “Reggaeton” music to get the boys going. Holick spent four years as an assistant at FIU in Miami, Fla., before joining Greg Beals’ staff in 2011. He was mic’d up at practice Thursday. Watch the video feature above.
The Buckeyes are set to hold their Meet The Team Banquet Saturday evening in Columbus. Nick Swisher will be the featured speaker. For more details, go to BuckeyeDiamondClub.com.
The Scarlet and Gray open the 135th season Feb. 16-18 at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. The Buckeyes will play four games during the opening weekend against UW-Milwaukee and Canisius.
