Beachwood H.S./Coastal Carolina: Brad transferred to Ohio State for the start of the 2010-11 academic year from Coastal Carolina ... at Beachwood, H.S., Brad was named All-Chagrin Valley Conference all four years of high school, including 2008 when he was named conference MVP ... he went 9-2 with a 1.64 earned-run average and 102 strikeouts as a senior ... he also went 5-1 with a school record 64 strikeouts as a junior ... he then made 18 appearances in his two seasons at Coastal Carolina ... in 2009 he posted a 1-1 record with a 2.45 earned-run average and 17 strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched for a 47-16 team that made the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional.
