2011 (Junior): Appeared in 50 games, making 48 starts in the outfield ... batted .264 with a team-high 16 doubles ... added a triple, two home runs, 25 runs scored and 24 runs batted in ... tallied seven multi-hit games and four multiple RBI games ... recorded a nine-game hitting streak from 4/20-5/6 ... 2-for-4 with a double, a grand slam for his first career home run, three runs scored and six RBI in the second game of a doubleheader against Western Michigan (2/26) ... 2-for-4 with a double at Fresno State (3/22) ... 5-for-12 with two doubles and a run scored in series vs. Michigan State (4/15-17) ... 3-for-11 with a double, a triple and four RBI in series vs. Michigan (4/29-30) ... 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI vs. Minnesota in first game of Big Ten tournament (5/25) ... named Academic All-Big Ten and an OSU Scholar-Athlete.

2010 (Sophomore): David only managed to get into one game - vs. Michigan State - and have one-at bat in his third season with the team ... competed for playing time with an outfield that included two all-Big Ten seniors and 2011 team co-captain Brian DeLucia ... after the season he played for the Hamilton Joes of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.

2009 (Freshman): Played in a pair of games, both off the bench ... recorded first career at-bat against Marshall ... drove in his first run as a Buckeye on a sacrifice fly against Louisville.

2008 (Redshirt): David redshirted the season as a true freshman.

Archbishop Moeller H.S.: A two-year starter and letterman for coach Mike Cameron, who retired as the winningest baseball coach in Ohio high school history ... was also selected as a first-team all-Greater Catholic League choice in his senior season ... team was 27-4 his senior season and won a district title and was No. 1 in the state polls ... named co-Defensive Player of the Year as a senior ... finished career with a .377 average, four home runs and 48 RBI.

Personal: David is the son of Mike and Julie Corna ... has a brother, Alex, and a sister, Sarah ... enjoys watching and critically analyzing movies as well as listening to good music (some of his favorites are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and the Dave Matthews Band).
