2017 (Sophomore Season)
5-3 with a 4.02 ERA in 20 appearances with eight starts … led the Buckeyes with five wins on the year … made his season debut pitching four innings against Utah (2/23) … fanned three in 2.1 scoreless innings of relief at Campbell (3/3) … claimed first win of the season after throwing 5.1 scoreless innings with a career-high eight strikeouts his first start vs. Bucknell (3/15) … picked up second win of the season in three innings with four strikeouts and one walk and one hit in win over Youngstown State (3/21) … received a no decision after throwing six innings, allowing just one run on two hits with three strikeouts and one walk in fourth start of year vs. Cincinnati (4/11) … fanned two in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief work at Michigan State (4/15) … had a scoreless inning of relief work with a strikeout vs. Northern Kentucky (4/16) … picked up the win with 4.0 innings of relief work, allowing one run on one hit with three strikeouts vs. Nebraska (4/28) … worked 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts vs. No. 4 Texas Tech (5/3) … worked five innings on two runs, three hits, four strikeouts and two walks in loss at No. 17 Michigan (5/6) … earned fourth win of the year after working six innings and limited the Hawkeye bats to four runs, one earned with four strikeouts and two walks at Iowa (5/13) … tossed a career-high seven innings on four hits, two runs, one walk and four strikeouts to claim fifth win of the year vs. Indiana (5/18).
2016 (Freshman Season)

2015 Pitcher of the Year in Three Rivers Athletic Conference … 2015 All-League and All-City … 2015 team captain … first team selection for the Three Rivers Athletic Conference in 2014 and earned honorable mention honors in 2013 …. 6-3 record with four saves and 76 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched … played high school baseball for head coach Jeff Stutzman … played summer ball for Ohio Elite and head coach Chris Valentine … also was a four-year letterwinner in ice hockey as the team’s leading scorer in 2015 to be earn all-league honors.
Son of Kris and Todd Curlis … sport industry major … enjoys fishing and swimming … lists greatest sports thrill as playing summer ball with Ohio Elite and being one game away from the Final Four in hockey during senior year … cousin, Tyler, played baseball at Wittenburg then became a minor league umpire … cousin, Chad, played baseball at Bowling Green State University … would like to play professional baseball or work in athletics after graduation.
