2010 (Freshman): Brad played in 33 games and started 23 times at third base and twice as the DH ... played in 11 Big Ten games with seven starts ... he hit .273 for the season with 13 runs, three doubles, a home run and eight RBI ... had eight multi-hit games (all career-high tying two-hit games) ... had two RBI vs. St. Louis ... hit first collegiate home run in season opener vs. Florida A&M ... had personal best five-game hit streak between 3/14 and 3/24, hitting .421 in the process (8 for 19) ... closed season with hits in six of final seven games (7 for 23; .304) with hits in five of six Big Ten games ... following the season Brad played summer ball for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League.
2009 (Medical Redshirt): Played in four games, starting three, before shoulder injury ended his season ... was 4-for-10 on the season with three RBI and four runs scored ... in his first collegiate start against Northeastern, went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored ... an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
Barron H.S.: Brad was a four-year varsity infielder ... named first team All-Heart of the North Conference in 2008 ... leading hitter and pitcher during conference championships ... hit .556 with 35 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, four home runs, and no strikeouts in 2008 ... third team Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association all-state pick in 2008 ... second team all-state in 2006 and was only sophomore selected to all-state first or second team ... member of WBCA Wisconsin all-star team and chosen to Midwest Baseball Classic ... two-time all-Northwest Wisconsin selection ... chosen to 2006 Puma Arizona Fall Classic ... four-year varsity athlete in baseball and basketball, three-year competitor in soccer, and played one year of football ... all-conference in basketball and soccer ... captained soccer team for two years and the basketball team as a senior.
Personal: Brad is the son of Monti and Julie Hallberg ... has two older brothers - Ben and Mark - and an older sister, Kayla ... Mark was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference shortstop in 2007 at Florida State and was drafted in the ninth round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
