On April 20th the Ohio State Cheerleaders traveled to London Ohio to visit an 11 year old girl to help raise her spirits as she works through chemotherapy. Thanks to Shawn Hendrix at Nissen Chemitec America, who has worked hard to help fundraise for Reagyns cause.
When Reagyn Semler was 5 years old she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is inoperable because it is wrapped in her motor nerves. It remained dormant for several years, but in late summer 2010 it was discovered that Reagyn's tumor had begun to grow. Because of the location and inoperability of Reagyn's tumor it was determined that she would have to undergo localized proton radiation and chemotherapy.
