COLUMBUS, Ohio- Ohio State rifle scored season highs in both air rifle and smallbore rifle in a strong performance Sunday, defeating Morehead State 4610-4550 at the Hugh W. Wylie Range.
In smallbore the Buckeyes were led by Amanda Luoma who fired a team high 575. Remington Lyman raised his personal best score to 573, while Maxwell Snyderman (572) put in another solid performance. Greg Hagar (566) and Megan Polonsky (560) rounded out team scoring for the Buckeyes in smallbore. The combined team score of 2286 was a season high.
Luoma’s 589 in air rifle was a team high for the season and was followed by Snyderman (582), Hagar (579), Polonsky (574) and Daniel Chapman (573). The air rifle score of 2324 was a season best for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State returns to action next weekend, hosting the defending NCAA national champions Texas Christian University, as well as Nebraska, Nevada and UTEP at the Hugh W. Wylie Range.
