Columbus, Ohio- The Ohio State rifle team competed in the Ole Miss Invitational on Saturday, October 6.
In the smallbore junior Amanda Luoma led the way for Ohio State firing a solid 573. Rounding out the smallbore team scoring were senior Maxwell Snyderman (570), sophomore Megan Polonsky (568), sophomore Greg Hagar (564) and junior Daniel Chapman (561). In the air rifle competition Luoma and Polonsky led the way with 580 performances. The team was rounded out by Chapman (579), Snyderman (576) and senior Robert Mangaudis III (570).
Overall Ohio State posted a combined score of 4590 which placed them sixth with one day of the invitational remaining. TCU won the event with a score of 4707, followed by Jacksonville State (4651), Ole Miss (4628), Murray State (4621) and Memphis (4600).
The Rifle Team will be back in action again this weekend at Lt. Hugh W. Wylie Range at Converse Hall with matches against Air Force, West Virginia and Akron.
