The Ohio State rifle squad bested their top away score for the season, placing fourth in the Withrow Open at Murray State, Jan. 26.
The Buckeyes posted a combined score of 4606 which is the third highest point total for the season and increased their season high score for an away match.
In smallbore the Buckeyes were paced by freshman Remington Lyman who equaled his personal best with a score of 578. Lyman’s score also placed him fifth overall for the weekend.
In the air rifle competition Luoma led the way for the Buckeyes with a season high 592. Luoma finished second overall in the air rifle competition for the weekend.
Lyman fired a personal best 582 in air rifle, while Polonsky (582), Hagar, (581), Chapman (578) and Kimura (571) rounded out a very solid day for the Buckeyes in the event. Ohio State's combined air rifle score of 2333 is a high for the season.
Ohio State concludes the regular season with a match at Akron Saturday, Feb. 2.
