Ohio State Climbs to No. 6 in National Rankings

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The most recent College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) rankings were released Tuesday and they saw the Ohio State rifle squad rise from No. 9 to a tie for No. 6 in the rankings.
The Buckeyes are coming off of a record setting 4666 score at Alaska Sunday and are averaging 4656.33 for the season.
Kentucky tops the rankings with a 4695.67 average followed by Alaska (4691.33). Defending champion West Virginia is third (4680.67) followed by Jacksonville State (4668) and Army (4663.67). Ohio State is tied with fellow Patriot Rifle Conference member TCU (4656.33) while Nebraska (4653.67), Air Force (4653.33) and Murray State (4651.67) round out the top 10.

Ohio State heads to Murray State this weekend to participate in the Roger Withrow Open. The match will take place over three days with the Buckeyes competing on Saturday. The premiere competition field includes top-ranked Kentucky, third-ranked WVU, No. 4 Jacksonville State, No. 11 Memphis, No. 12 Ole Miss, No. 14 Tennessee Martin, No. 20 UTEP, UAB and Rose Hulman.
