Amanda Luoma finished second in both smallbore and air rifle at Nebraska

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State rifle team (5-3) traveled to Lincoln, Neb. and came away with a 4,619 to 4,605 victory over the Huskers. The Buckeyes won the smallbore event by two points, 2,286 to 2,284 and had a 12-point margin in air rifle, 2,333 to 2,321.
Individually, Amanda Furrer posted a 589 in air rifle to win the event. Teammate Amanda Luoma was second at 584. In smallbore rifle Joyce Kim of Nebraska won the smallbore rifle event with a 582. Luoma was second at 578 with Furrer taking third at 575.
Ohio State returns to action Jan. 14-15 at the Camp Perry Open Air Rifle competition at Port Clinton, Ohio.
