Buckeyes Finish Second in Open Standard Pistol at NRA Collegiate Pistol Championships
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State pistol team finished second in the open standard pistol event Friday at the NRA Collegiate Pistol Championships at Ft. Benning, Ga. The Buckeyes shot a 2,117 in the event to winner, the United States Military Academy with a 2,121. OSU's Joe Totts shot a 549 to finish second in the event. Other Buckeye scores included Kim Hullings (530), Bryan Basenback (528) and Blake Reburn (512).
Ohio State will take a six-point lead over the United States Military Academy going into Saturday's open air pistol event.
The women's squad finished fourth in sport pistol shooting a 1,528. The United States Naval Academy won the event. Buckeye Kim Hullings finished third in the event with a 550. Amanda Watters shot 506 and Christina Heaton a 472 to round out the OSU scoring.
