COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State pistol team lost to the defending national champion, the United States Naval Academy, 6,391 to 6,216. The Ohio State Naval ROTC squad finished third at 5,227. OSU's Jessica Marshall (Sr., Columbus, Ohio) took top honors in women's sport pistol at 567 and teammate Jennifer Trickett (So., Woburn, Mass.) finished first in women's air pistol at 364. OSU won the women's air pistol event with Marshall, Trickett and Michelle Sheridan (So., St. Louis, Mo.) outpointing USNA 1,074 to 1.068. Marshall shot her way to a new all-time range record in women's sport pistol with her national championship level score of 567.

Next weekend (Jan. 24-25) Ohio State will host the ROTC Classic.
