COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State pistol team defeated Michigan State, 5,339 to 4,644 in the open events Sunday at the MSU Demmer Shooting Sports Center. The Buckeyes won all three open events out shooting the Spartans 1,021 to 814 in free pistol, 2,116 to 1,846 in standard pistol and 2,202 to 1984 in air pistol.
Ohio State won the three open individual titles with Blake Reburn, II winning air pistol with a 559, Joe Totts finishing first in standard pistol with a 545 and A.J. Tourigny scoring a 268 to win free pistol.
In the women's events, Ohio State posted a 2,715 to Michigan State's 1,928. The Spartans did not field a full squad in the events. Kimberly Hullings won both individual events shooting a 370 in women's air pistol and a 557 in women's sport pistol.
