Blake Reburn won the open free pistol and three-gun aggregate titles at the Purdue Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol team defeated Purdue (3,895) and Michigan State (3,039) with an open score of 4,617 at the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. The Buckeyes won all three open events shooting a 2,135 in standard pistol, 1,000 in free pistol and 1,482 in air pistol.
OSU women’s squad shot 2,678 in defeating Michigan State (2,071) and Purdue (1,926). The Buckeyes recorded a 1,609 in women’s sport pistol and a 1,069 in women’s air pistol.
Individually, Ohio State won three of four open events and all three of the women’s events. Buckeye Blake Reburn was a double winner taking first in open free pistol with a 265 and the three-gun aggregate with a 1,173. OSU’s A.J. Tourigny won the open air event with a 376. Purdue’s Thomas Jordan won open standard with a 543. Reburn was second at 540.
Kimberly Hullings won the women’s sport pistol with a 557 and the two-gun aggregate with a 918. Teammate Amanda Walters finished first in the women’s air pistol with a 367.
