COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University pistol team hosted the Midwest NRA National Open Air Pistol Sectionals March 1-2 at the Lt. Hugh W. Wylie Range.  Competitors from Indiana University, the University of Akron and the community participated in the event along with Ohio State.

Senior Jason Reineck placed first overall with a score of 562. He was followed by junior Joe Totts, who earned a 553 for second place. Community shooter Mike Creamer placed third with a 550.

The next four spots were all taken by the Buckeyes, as senior Gary Reburn placed fourth (548), sophomore Greyson McCaig placed fifth (546), junior A.J. Tourigny placed sixth (546) and junior Kimberly Hullings placed seventh (543).

The Buckeyes return to action at the National Collegiate Pistol Championships in Ft. Benning, Ga., March 12-14.
