COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol team competed in the OSU Varsity Pistol Winter Open Friday and Saturday at Lt. Hugh W. Wylie Range in Converse Hall. The Buckeyes won the event with a 6,374 aggregate score while The Citadel finished second at 5,820 and Michigan State posted a 5,204.
In women’s competition, the Buckeyes also took first with a 2,638 with Michigan State recording a 2,458 and The Citadel at 1,671.
Ohio State’s AJ Tourigny and Bryan Basenback finished first and second, respectively, in free and air pistol while Joe Totts took first in standards pistol. Buckeyes Jordan Akow and Blake Reburn each recorded third place finishes in free and air pistol, respectively. Tourigny took the three-gun aggregate with a 1,619 while Akow placed second with a 1,582 and Basenback third with a 1,580.
