Sectionals are shot at various collegiate ranges across the nation, with the top-10 teams qualifying for the National Championships held at Ft. Benning, Georgia, March 22-27.

The Ohio State pistol Team outpointed the US Naval Academy, 6399-6105, over the weekend to remain unbeaten on the season. The Buckeyes battled Navy in Columbus, Ohio, claiming all the events in both open (free, standard, and air), as well as the two women's events (sport pistol and 40-shot air pistol).

Greyson McCaig, a native of Columbia, Tenn., is a senior member of the pistol team. Last March, he helped lead Ohio State to its sixth NRA Intercollegiate National Championship, as the Buckeyes notched a perfect 14-0 record on the season. With his performance at nationals, McCaig earned second-team NRA All-America honors.

Buckeyes Make Most of Trip to Colorado Springs

The Ohio State pistol team recently traveled to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., Nov. 7-8, to take on West Point, Utah, North Dakota State and Texas A&M. The Buckeyes posted a team total of 6260, which ranked first among the competitive field.
