Buckeyes to compete in Garrett Penn State Open
COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State fencing team will travel to University Park, Pa., for the Garrett Penn State Open, a two-day competition, over the weekend.
Ohio State is one of 12 schools participating at the event. The other schools include Penn State, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, University of North Carolina, John Hopkins, Notre Dame, Temple, Long Island University, CCNY and Brown.
Women's competition will take place on Saturday starting with foil and epee at 8:30 a.m. Saber will compete beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Men's competition will follow the same format on Sunday.
Competition will consist of two to three rounds of pools followed by direct elimination rounds of sixteen.
After the Garrett Open, the Buckeyes will return to action for the December NAC beginning on Dec. 5.
