BUCKEYES AT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Scarlet and Gray hold a 13-year streak of Top 5 finishes at the NCAA Fencing Championships. Three of those Top 5 finishes were first place (2004, 2008 and 2012), all under the guidance of Vladimir Nazlymov. The Buckeyes claimed second at the 2005 NCAA Fencing Championships.

HOME TEAM ADVANTAGE
Ohio State has hosted the NCAA Fencing Championships four times in the past ten years: 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014. At the 2008 and 2012 NCAA Championships, the Buckeyes won gold, while claiming fifth at the 2011 event and fourth in 2014.

THIS TIME LAST YEAR
The Ohio State fencing team qualified 12 fencers for the 2014 NCAA Championships, the maximum amount allotted. Eight of the qualifiers still compete with the Buckeyes.

Seven Buckeye fencers earned Top 10 finishes to help Ohio State to a fourth place finish overall. Alanna Goldie led the team when she tied for third place to earn a bronze medal in women's foil.
