Ohio State Men's Epee to Compete in U.S. Collegiate Squad Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State men’s epee fencing team will compete in the U.S. Collegiate Squad Championships, Feb. 23, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The Buckeyes are one of eight teams competing in men’s epee. The others include Princeton, Yale, New York University, University of North Carolina, University of Pennsylvania, Stevens and Boston College

Ohio State hosted the U.S. Collegiate Squad Championships last year tallying five medals-silver in all three women’s weapons and gold in men’s foil and epee. Both the men’s and women’s squads claimed the overall title on the day.
Kristian Boyadzhiev is the only returning member of the men’s epee.
Following the U.S. Collegiate Squad Championships, the Buckeyes will travel to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the Midwest Conference Championships. The next event hosted in Columbus, Ohio, is the NCAA Fencing Championships on March 20-23.
