COLUMBUS, Ohio - Highlighted by a 14-13 win over the host and fifth-ranked Fighting Irish, the second-ranked Ohio State men's fencing team went 9-0 at the Notre Dame Duals in Notre Dame, Ind., Sunday. Coupled with the sixth-ranked OSU women's 7-1 record Saturday, the Buckeyes and Notre Dame both went 16-1 during the two-day event.

The event marked Ohio State's first collegiate competition of the season and renewed the rivalry between the Buckeyes, who won the 2004 national championship, and the Fighting Irish, who were national champs in 2005. The Notre Dame women topped Ohio State 14-13 Saturday, while the Buckeye men defeated the Irish by the same score Sunday.

Against the only other ranked opponent at the competition this weekend, Ohio State topped No. 8 Stanford, 20-7. Next Sunday, the Buckeyes will go up against several more ranked opponents at the New York University Duals.

Individual results from Sunday's bouts were not immediately available. The full results from Sunday's men's action are listed below.
