In women's foil, freshman Mai Shaito took sixth. Teammate Allison Henvick finished 18th, classmate Nina Stackhouse took 30th and senior Isabella Bonello placed 32nd.

Margarita Tschomakova set the pace for the Scarlet and Gray in women's sabre, placing ninth. Emily Cheng finished a spot outside the Top 10, taking 11th, while Chelsea Martinez placed 37th.

On the men's side, six Buckeyes secured Top 20 finishes in epee, led by Dylan Walrond and Daniel Tafoya at fifth and ninth, respectively. Marco Canevari (11th), Ognjen Vesic (14th), Narayan Pathi (15th) and Igor Tolkachev (18th) joined Walrond and Tafoya in the Top 20. Freshmen Ari Richtberg and Jack McCormick placed 33rd and 42nd, respectively, while sophomore Kurt Lang finished 47th.

Ohio State showed success in men's foil as well, as all five competitors finished in the Top 25, including three in the Top 10. Freshman Chris Colley led the group at fourth, followed closely by Zain Shaito at fifth. Colley's classmates Bill Meyer and Robert Moore took ninth and 13th, respectively. Sophomore Andrew McDonald recorded a 24th-place finish.

Ewan Douglas, the lone men's sabre fencer for the Buckeyes, placed ninth.

Ohio State continues its 2011 slate at the Kansas City, Mo., North American Cup Dec. 9-12. The Buckeyes begin team competition at the New York University Duals Jan. 21, followed by the St. John's Duals Jan. 22.
